Oops! I was afraid this was going to happen.

So a year ago my friend sent me the idea to adopt a Christmas Elf straight from Santa. Santa sent "Glitter" the elf to stay with us during the Christmas season. Glitter has a set schedule that can't be mixed up. He sleeps very soundly all day long and then at night he is awake and since he's all alone, he tends to find himself in trouble. He's toilet papered our tree, hung underwear from our tree, dumped out all the movies, played Master Chief's X-Box and Mama's Wii, dug into all our kitchen towels and made quite the mess with those and colored a picture. I'm sure there was more, but I can't remember them all! Anyway, on Christmas Eve when Santa comes, Glitter tells Santa if Kermit and Miss Piggy have been good or not. Then he takes Glitter back to the North Pole for the rest of the year to help make toys.

Well, this last Christmas Santa came and took Glitter home with him. Thank goodness because Kermit was getting tired of cleaning up after him! This afternoon, Kermit was getting into trouble and going through Mama and Master Chief's closet. All the sudden he came running out and guess what he found!!! GLITTER!!! So now the kids want to know how he got there? Did he fly into my room? How long has he been there? What is he doing here? Why isn't he helping Santa make toys? When will he go home?

So, in case anybody is wondering, Kermit and Miss Piggy will be receiving a letter from Glitter tonight explaining that since he is magic, he magically entered our house, that he came Sunday night, and that Santa sent him because he was concerned with the way Miss Piggy was talking to her mommy and wanted to be sure that Kermit was following directions. After he writes this letter, he is going to magically leave Tuesday night to go tell Santa how Miss Piggy and Kermit are behaving.

Then of course Master Chief will be sure that Glitter does magically disappear so this doesn't happen again!

Pregnancy Update

First of all, here is my 24 week belly shot. I am terrible at taking my own pic, but Master Chief was not available and I've been needing to get it taken, so it is what it is!

At my appt this last week, I measured 28 weeks, which would explain why my sides are starting to hurt. I went back this morning for an ultra sound just to monitor growth due to all of my complications. So far so good! She's still a girl, very much so even! She's measuring right on track and I've got LOTS of fluid, so that's good. She weighs 1lb 5oz and that puts her just above the 50% for her size. She checked over my placenta extremely well and it is still looking fantastic, so that's a relief for us! Oh and the other good news is that while I lost 10lbs due to my morning sickness that lasted way too long, I've now gained 5lbs back, that's it! I know I need to gain more, but at this point in my pregnancy with our first baby, I gained 13lbs in one month and that was a sign of my pre-eclampsia, so only gaining 3lbs last month for a total of 5lbs is a good thing!

Anyway, things are uneventful for us! Which is what we want. I'd LOVE to go at least another 11 weeks, but I'm really hoping for at least 13 more weeks.

Kermit and Miss Piggy still LOVE to tell their little sister hello and give her kisses. They both can't wait to hold her and change her diaper. I think we better start practicing on Miss Piggy's babies!

A Kermit Funny!

So the other day we were driving past an elementary school and all the sudden Kermit got really excited. Guess what he found...
A Sour Cream Truck!!!
Yes, you read that right... a sour cream truck. Now you may ask what that is... well don't you know? It's actually the Darigold milk delivery truck, delivering milk to all the good and bad boys and girls at school. I guess we eat a lot of sour cream at our house! Either that or we don't drink enough milk!

A Girls Night to remember!

My friend Taffi and I are kinda crazy women. I belong to an amazing group of LDS mom's who like to party it up. Now when I say party it up I mean, go out to dinner, talk all night, leave our kids at home with the daddies and then go back to being mommies. Part of these women live about 5 hours away from me and they were planning a GNO (Girls Night Out). Taffi, the silly gal that she is, suggested that she should come crash the party. Me, not wanting to be left out, suggested that I could squeeze into her trunk and join the fun. Now we assumed that our sweet husbands would never agree to such an idea. We were so wrong! Not only did they agree that we should go, but they encouraged us to stay a few days and enjoy our time away. Boy were we excited!!! Now that I think about it, perhaps they were sick of us and wanted a break from us!?!?? Hmmm, anyway...

We left on Thursday and made the journey to our friends city, picked up a few more girls on the way, and hit Chili's. There were several of our friends there, most I'd met and a few I'd never met. Of the few I'd yet to meet, you'd never know we've never been face to face. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We stayed until the restaurant closed and then went to Denny's so we could chat all night if we wanted! We probably would have if I wasn't almost asleep at the table, some of the people at Denny's at 1:30am are kinda scary, and most of the girls still had to go be moms the next day. So we departed.

This was not the end of our trip though! Taffi and I convinced Meagan to let us crash at her house for a few days. And I mean crash. We got back to her house around 2:30am and I hit the bed and didn't look back. Infact I was so tired, Meagan thought I was dead all night because I didn't move even once! I got up at 10am only to take my shot. Then we got ready and hit the streets of her little town. We visited the grocery store to stock up on goodies and then we dove into the scrapbooking store. We all spent some fun money on great paper and embellishments. We got home and I took a nap. I couldn't help it! These girls wore me out! I got up, and we all made a tasty dinner of Tortilla Soup and then invited Meagan's mom to join the madness. We played games until 9pm when we decided we'd better scrapbook. So we scrapbooked. We worked until 2:30am and I personally only got 3 pages done, Meagan got 1 done and Taffi I think got a few more done. I think we talked more than anything!

The next day we got up and had a delicious breakfast, made cinnamon rolls and then Taffi and I had to hit the road. We got home around 7pm and boy were Kermit and Miss Piggy excited to see me. They had SO much fun with Master Chief though!

Master Chief took the kids to Madagascar 2, McDonalds, KFC, they made cookies, rented a movie and Master Chief even let the kids have a picnic in the living room. The kids had so much fun, they can't wait for me to go out of town again! And they are in luck, I get to take off to visit my parents and brother next week!
