8 Month Cutie!

Baby Girl is a little over 8 months old now and is rolling all over the place, sitting very well and is almost going from tummy to sitting and is starting to push off with her knees and feet to get places. She's feeding herself little finger food puffs and love french fries. She's also figured out how to drink out of a straw and can clap her hands! She loves to scrunch up her nose and almost snort! She's just so much fun. Kermit and Miss Piggy just can't get enough of her. They shower her with kisses and hugs, they race to get her jammies and fight over who gets to give her a rice puff to eat! We sure do love her! We did take her in for a weight check last week. She is now 13lbs 7.5oz! We are happy she is back to growing. (She was 12lbs 8oz at 6 months, 12lbs 10oz at 7 months, so almost a full pound gained!)

Look at the belly buttons!

Miss Piggy got the movie Snow White for Christmas and they've watched it a few times now. Dopey is their favorite dwarf. But this afternoon I found Kermit drawing Snow White and all 7 Dwarfs. I LOVE their belly buttons and missing arms!

What Mama has been up to

I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and I've been having some fun!

My first project was an apron for Miss Piggy's birthday. And my second project was a new purse/bag. This was a little more challenging as the directions are wrong on the pattern! My mom and I made these 2 bags but we feel like we've made about 12 after having to unpick a zillion times!

As a note, somehow my mom and I always end up with projects where directions are not right. A few years ago we decided to paint her living room wall. We did a belagio faux. SEVEN coats later I called the Behr people and they confirmed that you can not do it on a textured wall and agreed that they should put that somewhere in their directions.

At least we have fun creating these memories!

Kermitisms - A Note About Ham and Eggs

I must record these things. Kermit has a love affair with food. Here are a few of his fun food facts...

We went to the deli a year or so ago and got some ham freshly sliced and Master Chief snuck some out of the bag and gave it to Kermit. Kermit popped it into his mouth and excitedly exclaimed, "Oh man, that's some good ham." He said it with such feeling, it was so funny! You'd think he'd never had ham before. And so his love affair with ham began.

This morning at breakfast we had ham and eggs. He made a 'double ham sandwich' and devoured it! He's a ham head.

His favorite thing to do with eggs though makes me gag a little. He loves to drown his eggs in syrup. He says it makes it taste SO good!

So there you have it, go try some syrup on your eggs today!
