Stinking Adorable Kids - Home Depot Style!

Home Depot is so much fun! Of course you couldn't convince Mama of that as a child. She remembers many nights going to Home Depot with her family while building their house. Her mom and dad would take date nights there. Snooze! As an adult, that sounds fun though... oh to dream of a date night... someday it will happen again!

Anyway, Home Depot has a really cool program where you take your kids in on the first Saturday of each month and they get to build a really cool item. You must get there early because once the kits are gone, you're out of luck.

So the first Saturday of June Master Chief and the kids got up bright and early, ate a great breakfast, cereal I'm sure, and left Mama and Baby Girl to their sweet dreams! They got to Home Depot and was one of the first ones there.

When you go for the first time you are given an awesome orange work apron to bring back each time you come. You also get a cool pin to put on your apron to show how many times you've attended and what you've built! This month the kids put together a cool box for Fathers Day. It's one where you can store your nuts, bolts, and other odds and ends in. Master Chief had a lot of fun helping the kids nail, glue and assemble these boxes, and the kids did such a great job.
So anytime you need something fun to do with your kids, check out your local Home Depot for their project of the month!

And what would a blog post with cute kids be without our newest cute kid? Isn't she adorable!

I weighed Baby Girl...

She's a little porky pig! She's 7lbs 12oz! Mama went into the lactation office and did a weight check there. That means she's gained 2lbs 4oz in 5 weeks! Yes, she's 5 weeks old already!

We are blessing her July 5th. Mama's mom ordered her dress and it is beautiful!!! I can't wait to see it in person and take lots of pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Baby Girl is 1 month old today!

I just don't know how time flies by so fast! Baby Girl is 1 month old and is growing way too fast! Okay, so she's still small, but she's so much bigger than she was a month ago. I have no idea how much she weighs and her next dr's appointment isn't until she's 2 months old. I would guess she's 8lbs because she still fits into all her newborn clothes with a tiny bit of room to spare, which are 5-8lbs, and she swims in her 0-3 month clothes, Master Chief would guess 10lbs. A friend at church yesterday mentioned that she feels heavy so maybe 9lbs, but I'm still hoping we're no more than 8lbs! I just don't want her to grow up too fast.

Baby Girl has a lot more awake times now. She has 2 long 'social' times lasting 2 hours, once in the morning and once right before bed. She likes to have tummy time, sit in her bouncy seat and to swing. These activities are so much more fun for her when Kermit and Miss Piggy play with her, which they do all the time! Baby Girl likes to be talked to and will move her mouth and watch you with her big eyes the whole time.

Baby Girl is a joy to have in our home. All four of us have to take turns holding her! She probably gets 10,000 kisses a day between the four of us! Kermit loves to hold her and when she cries he assures us he's just fine and will take good care of her! He's also the best help with changing stinky diapers, handing us all the wet wipes we need. Miss Piggy loves to sing to her, tell her stories and rock her. There's so much love between the five of us, it's such an awesome thing.

Kermit is missing something...

We are so excited that Kermit can now ride without the training wheels (although he calls them pedals)! The next day we took a trip around the neighborhood, stopped to drop off a dish at a friends house and before we knew it Kermit was going over a jump on his bike! Mama must admit that it freaked her out the first time Master Chief convinced Kermit to do it, but Kermit did great and it helped build his confidence a ton!

My favorite part of this video is Miss Piggy running along side him with her helmet and pads on as well!

And now the favorite thing to do in the backyard on our large porch is to have Miss Piggy ride Kermit's bike while Kermit holds the seat and pushes her... over the small step to the grass! Crazy kids!!!

Baby Girl's Hair Fritz

This is what happens when Baby Girl's hair dries before it gets combed and she's had a day to let it settle down! Her hair really is curly on the top, but this will show how long it is! She's 3 weeks 2 days (yesterday) in this picture. Pretty dang cute if you ask anyone in our house! Man, Mama likes to kiss those cute cheeks!

Oompa Loompa

So Master Chief gave his hospital suit to Kermit. While we were still in the hospital, Grandma called us and told us we just 'had to check our email... right now!' This is what we found...Don't you think Kermit looks like an Oompa Loompa!
